Mac DeMarco Gets Austin "On The Level"

Hundreds gathered at The Long Center in Austin, TX on June 14th for a sun filled evening hosted by Margin Walker, KUTX, and The Long Center. The summertime show featured performances by TC Superstar, Bane’s World, and Mac DeMarco.

The show offered a unique experience providing access to food trucks, a bar, and shopping booths. The usual Texas heat was undermined by a slight breeze that blew throughout the concert grounds. Blankets aligned the grass halting into a crowd of standing concertgoers eager to get as close to the stage as possible. The evening opened with early sets by TC Superstar and bedroom rock band Bane’s World. Mac DeMarco got the audience “On the Level” as he took to the stage backed by a full band, a Texas flag, and the Austin skyline. He performed a 2 hour set which included performances of “Salad Days,” “Nobody,”  “The Star Keep On Calling My Name,” “Another One,” “Ode To Victory,” and “Choo Choo.” DeMarco danced, played guitar, and twirled his microphone as audience members swooned at the musicians talent. His quirky personality provided a strong connection to the crowd and made for an exciting performance. Mac even snuck in a cover of “A Thousand Miles.” The show was a perfect way to end a beautiful summer day in Austin, TX.
