November 18-19, 2017
The hottest new festival on the block. Goldrush is taking place outside of Phoenix, Arizona at Rawhide’s fully functional western town, which will make you feel as if you are really in the wild west. Goldrush almost seems like an all age Disneyland town. The venue will include a saloon, general store, shooting gallery, and covered wagons. Going above and beyond, this festival will make Rawhide feel like a fairy tale with 4 stages and over 50 artists.
This festival is certainly like no other. Goldrush will take a new approach to music festival culture by combining fans of EDM and hip-hop. A few very anticipated performances will be put on by Migos, Marshmello, Dillon Francis and R.L. Grime. Starting off the festival right, Migos will headline Saturday night and set the bar high for the rest of the performances. Following this epic set is the DJ Dillon Francis. By the end of the night, the crowd will continue to party like there’s no tomorrow, but this won’t stop them from raging the entirety of the next day.
Day two is going to kick off with headline performances from Marshmello, Lil Uzi Vert, and Rl Grime, I imagine it is going to be difficult to photograph the action, and not join in the dancing for the entire night. As usual a fully masked DJ Marshmello, will bring out a love for EDM fans never knew they had. Every song will make you feel like you are on top of the world. Mija, yet another artist who will steal the stage and seeing her live is never anything short of amazing. The set by Mija is expected to be one to remember.
Goldrush will bring together music fans of a variety of genres. Both crowds are able to bond over music in Arizona. Although Goldrush may be new, and may be quirky, EDM is quickly becoming one of the most popular new music genres worldwide and meshing it together with the already well-followed hip-hop genre this festival is sure to be a weekend to remember.
